Christmas is so over in my book so here are some pics of whatev see ya in 2009 peeps
Not to say that the holidays were lame; they weren't at all. Serious peeps I had loads of fun with friends and fam but I'm just ready to have it be over with.

Oh Christmas Time

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
So Christmas has now come and gone and I'm glad it happened but glad to me moving on. So I'll post some pics later and give you a re-cap but for now I just want to say I think the best gift I received this holiday season is the conference addition of the Ensign. That sounds lame but I know it's not. I haven't put it down the last few days I'm on the second time through; dissecting each and every talk. I am so grateful for all the blessings I have in my life. I just want to have what I have and love it and enjoy it! I am grateful that although some of the things I’ve tried to apply the last lil while into my life I should've had already I am glad to be recognizing it and just moving forward. I saw one of the most amazing movies last night. The story of Benjamin Button! I would suggest to anyone that they must see it!! I won't go into too much detail but the movie just moves you and makes you think about so much.

What would you do?

So the last little while I have not been feelin the whole Christmas spirit. Now for those who know me they know that I LOVE Christmas and I love everything about it. But for me I just haven't been feelin it as of late. Well I even told some select few this night that I was quitting Christmas that for me I was done with it. No more - moving on. But alas I was humbled with an experience tonight that helped me regain my position on Christmas. And then I came across this poem in a letter to our Family...love it! So although my being done with Christmas lasted only a short while I know that it's never too late to remember the true meaning of Christmas!

IF CHRIST CAME INTO YOUR HOME ONE DAY
TO SHARE YOUR CHRISTMAS DAY
WHAT CONDITION WOULD HE FIND YOU IN
AS HE WALKED INSIDE TO STAY?
WOULD HE FIND YOU READING SCRIPTURES;
THE TALE OF HIS HOLY BIRTH?
WOULD HE SEE YOU SINGING CAROLS,
OF PEACE TO MEN ON EARTH?
WOULD YOUR CHILDREN KNOW OF ANGELS
AND WISE MEN FROM THE EAST?
OR WOULD THEIR MINDS BE ON THE TURKEY
FIXED FOR THE CHRISTMAS FEAST?
WILL THE CHILDREN KNOW ABOUT HIS LIFE;
BORN IN A MANGER FULL OF STRAW?
OR WOULD THEY ONLY BE THERE PLAYING
WITH GIFTS FROM SANTA CLAUSE?
WOULD HIS PICTURE BE UPON THE WALL
TO HELP REMIND YOU HOW TO BE?
OR WILL IT BE, CONCEALED THAT DAY,
BEHIND THE CHRISTMAS TREE?
WILL HE FIND THE NEEDY CARED FOR,
WOULD HE FEEL YOUR CHARITY OF LOVE?
OR WILL HE SENSE, THAT WHAT YOU HAVE,
IS NEVER QUITE ENOUGH?
IF JESUS WAS TO SPEND WITH YOU
THE DAY, WE CELEBRATE HIS BIRTH,
WILL YOU REMEMBER CHRIST, IS CHRISTMAS,
NOT JUST ONE MORE HOLIDAY ON EARTH?

Holy cheese on rice peeps I found my flash drive the other week that is full of crazy photos from over the last year or so...I couldn't resist posting a few; all which have a story behind them. I love pics! I am such a photosnob-get over it!
So all I can say is oops...I may or may not have dropped CodyChristopher.

add a comment or not

So I haven't ever had the ability for one to comment if they so desire. Partly because I don't really care if people want to or not because blogging to me is still something I don't understand. either way I have had some people mention it so I figured out how to enable it again and now there you go.

A plethora of babies

By the way there's a new baby that we just added to the mix...Jamie and Roch along with the kids welcomed Madisyn Sage on Wed Morning!!! yay for babies. And I didn't do this earlier but kerstin and Brent and Tildy welcomed Taber last month as well! Man I love babies! They always smell so lovable!!

Pretty-ugly sweaters

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
Okay okay so I know ugly sweaters are a must when in attendance at an ugly sweater party but I couldn't resist buying this one. It was too garsh darn cute to pass up...so I guess you could say I had one of the cutest ugliest sweaters on the block. Woot woot! Well anyways thanks to Tawna for insisting on a photo with me for which not it would not be possible to see what mine looked like. Honestly I loved Tawna's though it was pricelessly too good for words!

Shout it out!

Oh my goodness so Wil left town this week to go back home to Kansas...that's funny I already thought I was in Kansas I live so far out here. So anyways He is home for a few days and then off to Mexico. Boo way jealous. But he's bringing me back something that's bound to be cool. I guess I never realized how much I really spent with Wil until now. So either way it's still all good because Ash and I are together more. Yay for girl time! So just a nice blog to give a shout out to Wil (who doesn't even read my blog) . Loves!

Another sundown...

So let's talk about TWILIGHT!! Man can I tell you just how much I love this movie. I guess the amount of ticket stubs would tell you how crazy in love I am with it. Let's see is it 6 or 7 times; I can't remember I lost count at 5. So because of the infatuation I have with said movie I will show you some photos of my fave peeps!!

One fine metallic element: aka Copper Mtn.

So we made some lame o decision to get up at the butt crack of dawn...all the while knowing it would be worth it. We went to COPPER MOUNTAIN! Love love loved it! It was great to people watch and enjoy loads of hot chocolate! The weather was great and I hear there was great powder! Unfortunately I was unable to actually get the chance to carve it out today...seeing as I made the silly mistake of injuring myself last month. Oh well it was still beautiful out and great to be there! I love the winter time!

So dear dear Rachel oh how I love you! So Rachel has a boyfriend and I have yet to meet Him at family dinner yet because of my lame-o schedule. So we planned a double date. Now although I particularly am not a huge fan of these things I did it because 1 I was dying to meet Cody and 2 I love Rach! So After confirming with Rach that we are going through with this my only dilemma is finding a date. So after very little thought about who I would go with I think duh the only boy that would keep me afloat if this goes a lil awkward would be Wil! Now don't judge just because I prepare for the worst to happen. Either way our original plan was to go see the parade of lights and we changed plans which wasn't an awful thing but I do oh so much love christmas lights. So after we opted out on that we did dinner at an undisclosed location where pretty much the funniest line of the night was~okay again don't judge we're sittin at the bar placin our order and kind of boring but true Wil and I order the same thing but I just get the smaller version and his comes with cole-slaw. And as the bartender is placing the order she asks if there is anything else we would like and Wil says well actually is there anything I can sub for the coleslaw and she looks at Him with a blank kind of look and says "more fries I guess" so of course we agree. Because who eats coleslaw?! Honestly that was partly why I chose to downsize my meal. Ha ha so after she walks away Wil says I hate coleslaw I thought about just ordering it and not eating it. I know right? ANyways I guess you had to be there because it was a funny converstaion and I haven't embellished this one at all so you really have to use your imagination with it. Then of course the night continues but hey it's not as glam as you'd think. We finished up dinner and decided to make a short stop at the last few minutes of the Creche Exhibit. Now they changed it up a bit this year which is fine but I was a lil dissapointed. There wasn't a lot but still fun to look at what they had. I love nativities! Then they had a lil theatrical program going on so we stepped in to see it and man it was not what I expected. All in all it was fun to watch the lil bit that we did...the acting was in the nicest way I felt it butchered the story of the Christchild. The music was random and the voices flat...but oddly enough it didn't really matter because the spirit of christmas was there! I felt the spirit testify to me of the truth of what they were telling us. Their hearts were in it! We didn't stay long and since I didn't get to go to the parade of lights I told Rach to stop in a neighborhood and Wil and I grabbed some random shots of us with some fun decorated trees. I think that was the highlight of the night. Ah but so I thought because Wil and I were thinking hmm what should we do. We left Cody and Rachel to themselves and we headed out to paint what was left of out evenin. So where do we go? Wil's house. And those who don't know Wil lives with his bro Jim and His fam. So upon arrival we discover that we're locked out. SO much for our stay in and watch a movie idea because we couldn't get anyone to wake up to answer the door and eventually the night ends after we are too tuckered out to stay up. Long story short Wil went through a doggy door and we had wasted so much time getting in that we tried to stay awake and failed miserably. So much for that yeesh. But really it was a great 'date' with Wil!

Longboarding turkey style in the ER

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
So let's see here-it's been a while because well I was a lil 'under the weather' you could say. But not really. You see the Crowfeeters had a turkey day eve celebration and you can't enjoy the eve holidays any less than the actually holidays themselves. At least for me anyways I love the day before festivities. So of course what do I do? Take advantage of some awesome weather! I conquered a massive path behind B's house today and we lost track of time so much so that we were late feeding Elders which in turn made us early for arrival at the church to help set up. No idea how that works but hey it happens. But the night was a hit we threw down some great grub enjoyed a holiday skit with some great commentary throughout the night. I think the best line of the night was when in line getting food. Just before eating Wil and I were in the kitchen looking at these jiggly round pathetic excuses of being cranberries when we thought well we can't just serve it like this. Hmm lightbulb lets mash it in a bowl. So in line nearin the end we are entertained by a one Jason Prusse who wants cranberries. He steps right in between me and Wil and says and I quote "oohh cranberries" his eyes taking in the several options presented before Him and then no joke he gets a spark in his eyes as he comes across the 'mashed' ones "awesome and someone even brought legit ones! They're the best!" and starts shoveling a good three heaping spoonfuls onto his plate and walks away like a lil boy that just got a bike for christmas. Wil and I were bustin up! Love it people! So then of course after the shin dig and deciding that we were def not going to see Twilight with everyone else we think on it and say hey let's go longboarding. Genious idea right? So we go and pick up not just Wil's board but his bro Jim as well. And we hit the road. So you enjoyin the play by play because it only gets better. So we're all enjoying the fresh pavement the smooth ride and the crisp november air. Nobody ate it at all we had a blast and by the end of the night Jim was limping and Wil got up to 28 mph at one point. So we get back to Jim and Ang's and oops Wil let's the cat out of the bag and mentions Jim got on the board. Def not our fight to fight ha ha so not funny but it totally was. Ang was not happy. So than onto later that night and me hopping on one foot and crawling into my house in the wee hours of the morning; regretting coming home in the first place. I awake the next morning with the dark cloud over my day of telling my parents I'm going to the ER. Well actually let me tell you how it went down. I crawl up the stairs and hop over to somewhere; not my first choice of a seat but long story short I couldn't walk. I had a swollen foot. My mum looks at me and says "hmm well I guess you better just stay off it for the day." Now I had to explain to her that that wasn't an option. I was in SO much pain but neither parent had interest in doing anything about it because they were oppossed to my whole longboarding thing as it was to begin with. So here I am waiting for my sister who was dragged out of bed at like 7 am to take me to the ER where I got to have my own room and watch the Turkey parade where all I remember is Buzz Lightyear. While I sat there and had to explain what longboarding even is and had lame xrays and ice packs and lame stuff. I had to explain that a week earlier I had taken a fall on some bad ice and already hobled around; I didn't need this. Especially after I had just been through this a week before. Well yay for casts right because that's what they wanted to do but I talked them down to a walking boot. So imagine the response I got from Ang that night when I show up at the Craig's and she can't do anything but shake her head. Oh well I'm not letting this small set back put me out for the season. So I had a boot now I dont and I have a lame brace that doesn't even help so I don't wear it and it's snowing outside now so I'm happy because of that and I get to go to the parade of lights tonight I have a fun Christmas party every weekend for the next three weeks so I'm trying to stay excited for that and of course this means Christmas music 22/5 because I got to throw in some other stuff as well into the mix. I LOVE SNOW! Doin it Gilmore style is my is my fave...bundled up walking around with lights and snow~it's the best!

poledancing 101

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
Don't let the title deceive you-I toally mean it. I went along with Michelle to 'a girls night' and let me tell you I don't think it'll happen again for a while. Long story short it ended with the boys showing up and giving pointers on you guessed it; poledancing. I'm glad Wil rescued me when He did. Before it got a little too wild. Don't you worry - video to come shortly.

SUSHI!

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
Ideas are most the time best left as just that-ideas! Like for example but not limited to well actually I don't want to share that list with you. But anyways last night Wil and I made DESSERET SUSHI!! So fun when we were thinking it all up but sometimes I think my thoughts should stay as thoughts. Either way it was loads of fun to make...eating it on the other hand-hmm? Let's just say his nieces and nephew were excited to devour them the next morning!

When losing is not an option.

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
Well I'm doing it-i'm taking up longboarding again. Yikes right!? But no it'll be good. I can't believe I used to think it was easy because it sure is hard picking it up again. But with the help of Brandon and Wil i'll have it down in no time. Today I worked on my foot braking; for sure getting better so as to not let the board get ahead of me. I had to totally bail out and needless to say...road rash is the name of the game today. Ha ha so next on the to do list of stephdeezy-a helmet. Peace out.

Wednesdays ruin my life!

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
SO I made a decision last night that pretty much ruined most likey my life at least up till turkey day. Ugh so what did I decide to do last night that could sound that rough?! Well I went bowling...not just any kind of bowling but the kind where you pay a dollar to sit there ALL night and socialize with others you usually don't talk to all the while you'd rather be in bed. That's right I bowled a poor game last night and for what?! Just to watch my bedtime come and pass. Now I remember why I always told myself I wasn't going to ever go ever again! Because now it's thrown me off. I slept in which of course made me not too happy because I wasn't able to run this morning...which than makes me a grump. Okay it's lame I know because it's all based on that one singular decision I made to go bowling. So listen to me when I tell you-DON't go bowling...you should know better.
p.s. don't let this picture deceive you...all of this was cheap entertainment until we got to go...Wil just wanted to flirt all night; try and get his game back after being gone two years...props to him for having gotten two more numbers to add to his collection of girls to ask out. If he ever gets up the courage to do it. Oh and if you are wondering why I didn't up and leave HE is the reason...what dumb girl decided it would be a good idea to drive together??

Yay for fall!

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
Okay so really it's not winter...I'm still enjoying my runs outside on occasion because it's not too nippy. So my favorite thing about fall is anything and everything pumpkin and with all the talk about pancakes lately I decided to post a favorite recipe I love!

1 cup All-purpose Flour
1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
2 tablespoons ground Flaxseed
2 tablespoons Sugar
2-3 tablespoons Mini Chocolate Chips
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
1/8 teaspoon Salt
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/3 cup 1% lowfat Milk
1/2 cup canned, pure Pumpkin
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
4 teaspoons Canola Oil

Whisk together the flours, flaxseed, sugar, chocolate chips, baking powder and salt in a large bowl until well combined. Set aside.
Whisk together the eggs, milk, and pumpkin in a separate bowl until well blended. Pour the liquid ingredients over the dry ingredients and stir until just moistened.
Heat 1 teaspoon of the oil in a large nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Pour the batter onto the hot skillet using a ¼ cup measuring cup, forming 4-inch cakes. Cook until bubbles begin to appear on the surface of the pancakes and the bottoms turn golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes.
Flip and cook until golden brown, an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
Repeat with the remaining oil and batter.

I promise you they are way delicious!

Where's Waldo?

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
So what better way to spend a Friday off then to play where's waldo 3-D at the mall...so in other words play with real people I guess. But I was asked to dress up as a jail-bird! What the tuna right?! Ashlee and I enjoyed time spent finding our wardrobe for the festivities. We even talked Wil into joining in on the fun! So upon arrival at said destination we discovered many others dressed out of this world. It was a fun time and we enjoyed doing some shopping in between being found by others.

Quilting Pancakes

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
Okay so not like I actually quilted pancakes but I did enjoy both interests today. I was excited when I awoke because it was all you can eat dollar pancakes at McDonalds; which I helped with so I was excited to go. Hannah, Jacob and I were so excited! Can I tell you I have never enJoyed pancakes unless it involves chocolate syrup and chocolate chips...every six weeks when feeding the sisters. So being the hater I am I didn't think I'd like them-but I loved them! Way delicious!

Afterwards I dropped the kids off and headed home to tell my mum I took on the bishops quilt for his farewell party. Which meant ALL of it. LOL So I did what any daughter would do and recruited; mother and the sister missionaries. So we headed to the quilt store to get fabric and let me tell you those quilt ladies at the store couldn't get rid of us fast enough...it's as if we were ruining their lives by shopping there. I'm not bitter. So the sisters met up at my house and we went to work. We made a good dent within a couple hours so upon semi completion we decided to go out tracting; the weather was great and the company couldn't have been better! I love sister Kimball and Menke!

Anyways by six that night I was home all by myself doing absolutley nothing but piddling around accomplishing nothing. ha ha so let's waste time; which fyi I love to do-watching Gilmore Girls! So that's my Saturday night; hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Denver Film Festival

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
Denver has a film festival?! Rock on I never knew...and now it's the festival or bust! Count me there!! I am excited for The Brother's Bloom-it was fun just to purchase the tickets! So be sure to stay tuned for a review.

All Time Low

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
So I had a very bad day yesterday...ha ha not really. But it was an All Time Low. Ashlee and I were all pumped up to see them in concert and what a life ruining moment when we discovered...SOLD OUT!! What in the world-it was not a happy moment. Although we still had fun it would have been better with the concert. Next time right? WE tried to make up for our sadness by going to the Apple store. Didn't hit the spot but just enough to make us happy for a moment; we even ran into some peeps from crowfeet...

Celine Dion!

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
Now don't judge but I LOVE Celine Dion and she is coming to Denver next week!! I'm SO totally there!

Time...who needs it?

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
Boo-down on time change. I hate it SO much! I never feel like I gain anything but a new found need for sleep. Don't you think it's utterly ridiculous that we feel there is a need for this thing people call daylight savings. I don't feel like I ever gain daylight...how are we saving it? None of it makes sense.

Go vote!

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
Okay so I did it! I took my dad's advice and went in today for an early vote...and I've decided that in the future when I vote I'll need to apply for a mail in ballot...yeesh not that I waited too long but still I think that it would be the best way to vote! But Yay!!! I did it and it wasn't so hard after all. Peace out.

Do I bleed red, white, and blue?

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
Oh my goodness! Seeing as this is my first year being a registered voter I think I'm going to have an aneurysm or something close to that...I didn't ever have an opinion because I never felt entitled to and now that I'm allowed to have a voice I don't think I want it!!

Alamosa or bust!

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
So this weekend I was livin' it up in Alamosa! Holy cheese on rice; it was INCREDIBLE!!! I loved it! And although it was stinkin' cold that didn't stop us from having fun! With all the traveling I've been doing this last month and then some I am grateful for all that I have learned! Because I truly have learned so much and also made some great new friends...so back to Alamosa. Rach, B and I stayed with Bekah in the dorms and it was great to just have time together. Going to the sand dunes was just breathtaking and B gave a great analogy of if the valley was a bedroom the dunes would be that corner where it's always dirty ha ha okay I'm thinking it was funnier when He said it. So anyways I'm thinkin God is pretty cool with all the beauty He surrounds us with. Man it was just so gerorgeous; with the fall colors and all the architecture and just all of it. There is so much history in that small city. Anyways I think I go a lil' overboard sometimes with the picture taking but I'll get some up shortly. Oh and yay for roadtrips where you get to jam to music that you normally wouldn't :)

Lot's of great goodness!

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
So it's crazy sometimes when you step back and kind of reevaluate things in life. But it sure can do you a lot of great goodness in your life, especially if it's as crazy as mine! For instance my trip to Idaho created in me a desire to take more advantage of what I do have and not try to just put more into my life. I am beginning to see how beneficial this can be to oneself. :) I had such a wonderful experience in Idaho and I was able to spend it with a wonderful family for the majority of the time. They welcomed me with warm hearts and loving arms!! Also I was able to trek to Idaho Falls and see the temple. One with which I have just fallen in love with since attending for the first time last summer. It had begun to snow when we got there and it made it that much more beautiful. I look forward to seeing it again next month!!

All hallows eve plannin

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
So I've been thinking a lot about how I can be a thug! Halla! Straight trippin' boo! Somethin like that. Anyways ideas?? No but really that's what I decided to do for Halloween this year. Wes and I were going to go for the whole Where's Waldo thing but I just wasn't diggin it no more. So now I got an excuse to wear my grill!!

Where's your light??

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
I have such a desire to share the gospel and just the other day I met a guy who I invited to learn and he's been honestly interested and has a desire :) I love it-he's been a light in my life!! I am grateful for how the Lord blesses us and sometimes without any ryhme or reason he does it! How great is that? I know i'm way lame for saying that but actually no I'm not I just am really happy!

Roadtrip!!

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
Oh my holy cow really now?! I can't believe it but I went to Idaho!! I know right? Who does that when first you don't even attend school up there and secondly you never did!! But ha I did it anyways and now I remember why I don't miss college that much or even at all. I haven't the slightest clue as to how I was ever able to stay up past 11 and justify it. I hardly stay up past 1030 and even than I'm already in bed just reading or something lame like that. So I honestly don't understand how when I told my sisters roomies and friends I was heading to bed they all gasped; well it was only 930 but com'n people I was tired!!! If I'm going to take time to get work off and travel I'm going to take advantage of getting to bed early and waking up early without having to go INTO work. I LOVE it! Also how do they live off of "hmm i'm hungry so let's make a pan full of brownies and scarf it down for dinner" motto? I mean maybe it looks good on blog but no not really. And then ah I know we should make some pizza in the oven to wash the brownies down with while we invite every girlfriend we know (who's not out with their boy-toys) to come over and veg with us!! Seriously people I love being able to NOT go do these kinds of things. I enjoy being able to avoid it actually. So than I have some absolutely amazing friends that attend school up in this undisclosed area of Idaho in the middle of nowhere and I found it so hard to believe that since I was there for I don't know five days they all felt the need to tell me they wanted to see me every day. Weird, right? Well so I actually tried to do that and allow it and yeah it was fun I never got sick of them they always were like "wow that two hour lunch to [insert name of food joint here] was great but I gotta hit the books now Steph. But hey let's say in two hours we hit the road and take a trip to the mall?! (which I should mention is not even in the same vicinity so it is a road trip) Okay great pick you up then!" So no time to even say oh sure i'd love to or nah actually I'm good. Gotta love college eh? OH and then let's talk about the freezing cold. I swear I was actually screaming when I arrived and got out of the car. Let's just say I was NOT pleased with the bitter cold. But then I warmed up to the idea and feel in love and now I want to move there. People please is there some kind of AA but maybe we can call it IAA (idahoian addicts anoymous) I think that's what I need. Because I'm heading back in another few weeks and I wouldn't be surprised if I all of a sudden feel the need to go sign a contract somewhere. Anyways all in all it was a great weekend. And then last but not least I loved meeting the Porter famdeezy!! But that's another story within itself so I'll save that for another day! Loves!

The Proof of this Joy in Me!
