What would you do?

So the last little while I have not been feelin the whole Christmas spirit. Now for those who know me they know that I LOVE Christmas and I love everything about it. But for me I just haven't been feelin it as of late. Well I even told some select few this night that I was quitting Christmas that for me I was done with it. No more - moving on. But alas I was humbled with an experience tonight that helped me regain my position on Christmas. And then I came across this poem in a letter to our Family...love it! So although my being done with Christmas lasted only a short while I know that it's never too late to remember the true meaning of Christmas!

IF CHRIST CAME INTO YOUR HOME ONE DAY
TO SHARE YOUR CHRISTMAS DAY
WHAT CONDITION WOULD HE FIND YOU IN
AS HE WALKED INSIDE TO STAY?
WOULD HE FIND YOU READING SCRIPTURES;
THE TALE OF HIS HOLY BIRTH?
WOULD HE SEE YOU SINGING CAROLS,
OF PEACE TO MEN ON EARTH?
WOULD YOUR CHILDREN KNOW OF ANGELS
AND WISE MEN FROM THE EAST?
OR WOULD THEIR MINDS BE ON THE TURKEY
FIXED FOR THE CHRISTMAS FEAST?
WILL THE CHILDREN KNOW ABOUT HIS LIFE;
BORN IN A MANGER FULL OF STRAW?
OR WOULD THEY ONLY BE THERE PLAYING
WITH GIFTS FROM SANTA CLAUSE?
WOULD HIS PICTURE BE UPON THE WALL
TO HELP REMIND YOU HOW TO BE?
OR WILL IT BE, CONCEALED THAT DAY,
BEHIND THE CHRISTMAS TREE?
WILL HE FIND THE NEEDY CARED FOR,
WOULD HE FEEL YOUR CHARITY OF LOVE?
OR WILL HE SENSE, THAT WHAT YOU HAVE,
IS NEVER QUITE ENOUGH?
IF JESUS WAS TO SPEND WITH YOU
THE DAY, WE CELEBRATE HIS BIRTH,
WILL YOU REMEMBER CHRIST, IS CHRISTMAS,
NOT JUST ONE MORE HOLIDAY ON EARTH?
