SUSHI!

Ideas are most the time best left as just that-ideas! Like for example but not limited to well actually I don't want to share that list with you. But anyways last night Wil and I made DESSERET SUSHI!! So fun when we were thinking it all up but sometimes I think my thoughts should stay as thoughts. Either way it was loads of fun to make...eating it on the other hand-hmm? Let's just say his nieces and nephew were excited to devour them the next morning!

When losing is not an option.

Well I'm doing it-i'm taking up longboarding again. Yikes right!? But no it'll be good. I can't believe I used to think it was easy because it sure is hard picking it up again. But with the help of Brandon and Wil i'll have it down in no time. Today I worked on my foot braking; for sure getting better so as to not let the board get ahead of me. I had to totally bail out and needless to say...road rash is the name of the game today. Ha ha so next on the to do list of stephdeezy-a helmet. Peace out.

Wednesdays ruin my life!

SO I made a decision last night that pretty much ruined most likey my life at least up till turkey day. Ugh so what did I decide to do last night that could sound that rough?! Well I went bowling...not just any kind of bowling but the kind where you pay a dollar to sit there ALL night and socialize with others you usually don't talk to all the while you'd rather be in bed. That's right I bowled a poor game last night and for what?! Just to watch my bedtime come and pass. Now I remember why I always told myself I wasn't going to ever go ever again! Because now it's thrown me off. I slept in which of course made me not too happy because I wasn't able to run this morning...which than makes me a grump. Okay it's lame I know because it's all based on that one singular decision I made to go bowling. So listen to me when I tell you-DON't go bowling...you should know better.
p.s. don't let this picture deceive you...all of this was cheap entertainment until we got to go...Wil just wanted to flirt all night; try and get his game back after being gone two years...props to him for having gotten two more numbers to add to his collection of girls to ask out. If he ever gets up the courage to do it. Oh and if you are wondering why I didn't up and leave HE is the reason...what dumb girl decided it would be a good idea to drive together??

Yay for fall!

Okay so really it's not winter...I'm still enjoying my runs outside on occasion because it's not too nippy. So my favorite thing about fall is anything and everything pumpkin and with all the talk about pancakes lately I decided to post a favorite recipe I love!

1 cup All-purpose Flour
1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
2 tablespoons ground Flaxseed
2 tablespoons Sugar
2-3 tablespoons Mini Chocolate Chips
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
1/8 teaspoon Salt
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/3 cup 1% lowfat Milk
1/2 cup canned, pure Pumpkin
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
4 teaspoons Canola Oil

Whisk together the flours, flaxseed, sugar, chocolate chips, baking powder and salt in a large bowl until well combined. Set aside.
Whisk together the eggs, milk, and pumpkin in a separate bowl until well blended. Pour the liquid ingredients over the dry ingredients and stir until just moistened.
Heat 1 teaspoon of the oil in a large nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Pour the batter onto the hot skillet using a ¼ cup measuring cup, forming 4-inch cakes. Cook until bubbles begin to appear on the surface of the pancakes and the bottoms turn golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes.
Flip and cook until golden brown, an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
Repeat with the remaining oil and batter.

I promise you they are way delicious!

Where's Waldo?

So what better way to spend a Friday off then to play where's waldo 3-D at the mall...so in other words play with real people I guess. But I was asked to dress up as a jail-bird! What the tuna right?! Ashlee and I enjoyed time spent finding our wardrobe for the festivities. We even talked Wil into joining in on the fun! So upon arrival at said destination we discovered many others dressed out of this world. It was a fun time and we enjoyed doing some shopping in between being found by others.

Quilting Pancakes

Okay so not like I actually quilted pancakes but I did enjoy both interests today. I was excited when I awoke because it was all you can eat dollar pancakes at McDonalds; which I helped with so I was excited to go. Hannah, Jacob and I were so excited! Can I tell you I have never enJoyed pancakes unless it involves chocolate syrup and chocolate chips...every six weeks when feeding the sisters. So being the hater I am I didn't think I'd like them-but I loved them! Way delicious!

Afterwards I dropped the kids off and headed home to tell my mum I took on the bishops quilt for his farewell party. Which meant ALL of it. LOL So I did what any daughter would do and recruited; mother and the sister missionaries. So we headed to the quilt store to get fabric and let me tell you those quilt ladies at the store couldn't get rid of us fast enough...it's as if we were ruining their lives by shopping there. I'm not bitter. So the sisters met up at my house and we went to work. We made a good dent within a couple hours so upon semi completion we decided to go out tracting; the weather was great and the company couldn't have been better! I love sister Kimball and Menke!

Anyways by six that night I was home all by myself doing absolutley nothing but piddling around accomplishing nothing. ha ha so let's waste time; which fyi I love to do-watching Gilmore Girls! So that's my Saturday night; hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
