Let's Paint!

Aight peeps! What a do?! I totally painted the town this weekend! IT was really fun and I think when the time comes for me to bounce outta Colorado whenev that'll be-I'll miss it. There is always something!

Bill Cosby was in town and can I tell you for a man that is 71 years old he has still got it. Well when I say 'got it' I mean he still puts a smile on my face and takes me back to when I was lil and I watched the Cosby Show. LOVE HIM!

The calm in my storm was the Blizzard!

Alright so I'm doing it peeps! I have been MIA for some time now and I was waitin for that itch; you know the one I'm talkin of. Well it hit me today finally the day of all days that I was ready to post again.

SO let me preface by first stating that I haven't been myself as of late because of lots of different issues; okay I lie! It's really just one BIG one. A boy; actually it is any boy out there who fits the description. These boys are the ones that make the other fish in the sea look so enticing.

ARGH!

Here I am doing just what I didn't want to do on this post-talk about my problems. UGH; serious it is the ultimate last thing! I swear I'm a walkin/talkin/bloggin contradiction. YOU GOTTA PROBLEM WITH THAT?

didn't think so.

Moving on. Today there was a blizzard watch; and if you saw what I saw this morning you would say hosh posh those peeps don't know what they are talkin about. But if we learn from the past-you know it's a brewin! Just what I felt my life was going through this last while. You know it's inevitable; you see all the signs and you still disregard it. So many today did just that. It was just gonna blow over-WRONG! Totally wrong it was complete white out conditions peeps.

So let me just say that I am through with guys like Sally. And let me tell you girls; they know just who there are. They are not horrible nor are they really all that selfish; oh wait they are actually. They are when it comes to what they want in those specificites. We all have them...we're all guilty of it. SO why must I complain? Why do I have a right to take a stand? Because someone has to do it and I am in position.

Alright so I sound bitter and angry maybe a little sour taste of it is in my mouth and it's coming out in this post. No apologies on this one though peeps. This is life and it's real and it happens. So I'm sharing.

No pity is needed here girlfriends. I'm not hurt by any means. But my pal of a friend said to me (and it's true what they say the most complicated questions have the simplest answers) so as I was sayin my buddy helped me see that even though in my eyes he was the guy who was everything I never wanted and wasn't the one for me...I still created the possibilities and where it would go to...etc etc long story short peeps it just sucks because I see it as (and I know you must all be lost at this point) I got the short end of the stick. This was more for him than myself. LAME!

So now that I'm done wit that. I say carpe diem peeps!

There's plenty o' snow out there and it's callin my name! It was the best lil tender mercy in all of this. I'm gonna go find the box I put all my winter stuff in and I'm throwin it on and oh how I'm gonna live! LOVE you all.

P.S.
This is my 100th post! (meanin that in the bloggin world of unwritten rules you have a giveaway) Woot woot. But alls I am givin away is free love! So if you want it (which duh! Who doesn't?) It's here for the takin! LOVE is where it is at!

P.P.S.
No boys were hurt in the makin or publishing of this post (at least I don't think so; if I remember correctly his heart is stone cold and unbreakable at this point) Okay that is mean but really now

P.P.P.S.
and I was serious when I said I'm fine-really so don't panic. It just made for a good read really ;) ah who am I kiddin!

Raise your hand if...

you wanna be a HOBO!

Seriously though peeps I mean it. Well only for those who attend BYU would be able to really do somthin about it. While readin what some may say is a reliable source I came across a statement which reads this;

On Thursday, March 19, 2009, due to overly high demands on "BYU-Approved" housing, students will now be able to choose the option to sleep on campus, in certain "designated camping" areas. These areas are rumored to include, though are not limited to: the second story WSC terrace - female housing; the courtyard of the JFSB - male housing; and the grassy noll just south of the CB - married housing. Students will still be expected to pay a minimal rent, however, of $150 per month, to upkeep the outdoor latrines (actually just deep holes dug behind shrubbery), and also to pay for the extra expected water utility costs, as a result of students taking "showers" in the sprinklers. To sign up for the new camping-style housing, go to imahobo.byu.edu.

[end quote]

So peeps what do you think of that?! Crazy right?

I thought so as well until I realized where it's the source it comes from that is fishy. DO any of you 'wiki'? I thought it was some random site that was reliable but alas anyone can edit any of the information. So I guess I take back what I said about a reliable source. Oops oh well

but it did give you a laugh? I mean really now you gotta admit my friend is clever who contributed to wiki.

peace out homies!

Catch a ride wit me!

Alright so I'm thinkin I'm crazy these days peeps. It's nothin new and nor does it surprise me. I just thought I'd put it out there that I feel like I'm livin a crazy dance.

No but really I have been doin things that are not my norm - okay correction perhaps my norm but now I'm just realizing it.

Like for example I've been goin to the library and checkin out books that I have read so many times I've lost count and yet I still keep bringin them home. I read them all together at one time. There's no point in readin one and then pickin the other up-what's the point of checkin them all out. You know what I'm sayin? So anyways long story short it was my weekly trip to the library yesterday and I brought home 10 books 2 of which I have finished and 4 of which I'm readin right now. Why do I do this? I don't know what I even get out of it. Just new found knowledge of some of my fave peeps or moments in history. (I check out biographies and world history fyi) Which then secures all those lil random factoids in my head yet again and serves no real purpose except to make me remember that I already knew most of this. See I'm crazy!

Speakin of books I found one that was gives you easy ways of goin green. It helps you examine your life and weed out things that can be unhealthy for the environment. For some odd reason I felt the need to check it out. Peeps let me tell you I can't go any more green than I already am unless I want to live without my car. Technically it just said get rid of one of your cars and seein as I only have just one I think I'll keep her around.

Okay so maybe I'm not crazy but either way I'm over it now. The weather is amazing out this week! I LOVE it!
OH and here's a recap of Jeane's birthday throw down at Papadeux. Now it's a tasty place to eat and always has great entertainment if you go on the right day. But it's crawfish season and seein as she is a classy southern belle we went for the crawfish! Okay so not too interested in the lil buggers honestly. Last year I did want to go but I couldn't bring myself to. Secretly it just didn't sit well with me. But this year is different I got some gall and went. I'm sure classier peeps wouldn't describe the event in such way as I'm about to. They come to you on a huge platter (you can 1-2 lbs at a time) I was wamin up I had my bib on and I felt prepared and a lil excited. Then there it was - all those lil mud bugs starin at me and I wanted to cry. (p.s. I did for sec) How embarrassing eh? Why am I even tellin you all this.

Movin on...the night was fun it ended up bein not as bad by the end of it all but I think it'll take a good amount of returns to conquer my fear of those crawfishies.

The Little Ones

Posted by StephieMae 1 sweet comments
Ash and I made an appearance at some 'dance' at least that's what some where classifyin it as. But onward to the point of this post. We only stayed long enough to say our hellos to peeps and than bounced. Lance and I were meetin up that night and the more the merrier I say so if not for havin Ash along I would not have met and fallin in love with the music stylings of The Little Ones. IF I were to describe them I would call them emo-asians; but however seein as they aren't all Asian I will just say this. The drummer was HOT, the hippie surfer dude is ecentric and the others-all talented! And the music is some classic indie rock! The music was great the venue was small and packed a good crowd and we were totally shocked when we discovered they are based out of the city of Angles...didn't see that one. The only awkward part of the set was when they brought up 'Twitter' They asked who all 'twitters' and we all went 'huh?!' como que twitter what's that? Ha ha anyways if you wanna catch some good tunage check em out HERE.

It surrounds us!

Beauty is all around us and we need to allow ourselves to see it in our day to day lives. For me today I want to share something inspirational peeps! I came across this blog post this week and the work of the artist Ruud van Empel is moving. It makes me feel young again. The picture above reminds me of a favorite book from when I was little...Little Black Sambo; it's just what I pictured Sambo to look like. (all he needs is an umbrella ;) It's a wonderful thing how he creates his work. Just sayin peeps you should read this...to love it as much as I have come to love it!

The year of the wise!

So many of my peeps are having birfdays and seriously it's hard to keep up wit all of 'em. Ah but of course this one can't get away from me...it's Jeane's day of birth!

SleepyJeane!! I just want to wish you a day full of SUNSHINE!!! Happy Birthday pretty lady!

p.s.
Papadeux or bust ;)

A night in

Posted by StephieMae 1 sweet comments
How much does one exactly love High School Musical? I know that I love it enough to spend an entire Friday with some of the cutest girls and have a marathon! Which is just what I did this last weekend. It was SO much fun peeps seriously! And I couldn't have asked for better company. Really now...the Calvert's were so nice to let me come and chill wit the gals. Bay and I cuddled up together all night and Mandy of course couldn't decide if she wanted to snuggle or dance! Too cute peeps. :) Now obviously because the 2nd one is not the fave in our crowd we just skipped it all together. Ha ha but promise give 'em a chance and you'll fall in love. Lata*

My friend...the PLAYA!

Hi Lance! You playa you! Loves*

There's no such thing as too much!

Posted by StephieMae 2 sweet comments
So one thing as a lil' girl growin' up that I absolutely loved hands down was playin' wit my barbie dolls. Holy cow I don't think I ever thought I had enough. But seriously peeps I had way too many! But she's celebratin' her 50th birthday this month! So I had to give her a special shout out! My childhood wouldn't have been the same without her and that crazy family tree of hers. A girl can never have too many clothes, right ladies!? At least I know my dolls never suffered from a lack there of...alright now that I've taken a walk down memory lane and openly admitted to playin' wit my barbies I'm just gonna shut up and move on; well only after I dig out my box and get all nostalgic then I'll let the subject die. Lame, right? Ha never! I will keep 'em for as long as I can :)

Power within us all

Posted by StephieMae 0 sweet comments
SO a movie that I have come to love is one which is too adorable and I wouldn't want to ruin it for peeps out there who have yet to see it. I will hold back and tell you that it really makes you realize just how much power you have over the way you feel. It's so true peeps-we all have power to choose and if we accept it and use it well then it will bless us :) halla now run off and find a way to watch PENELOPE!

Welcome in the Sunshine!!

Posted by StephieMae 1 sweet comments
So first off down with daylight savings! Actually I'm excited to get back to having more daylight! I have missed it and it's about time it comes back. Yay for SUNSHINE! But I still think it's a lame concept. But now on to more important ramblings.

I love lil mini road trips. They are always so full of random mishaps and fun surprises. This one was just a short day trip and we stayed overnight. Everything about it was wonderful and Rachel and I even stayed out of trouble! We rock :) We made an appearance at the dance and saw loads of peeps from our ward. Way to represent Crowfeet! Woot woot!

But here's to sleepovers that end up being better than expected and to great friends that are always willing to welcome us into their homes. (esp when I was just there earlier in the week) But we attended some wonderful meetings on Sunday and heard great speakers and beautiful musical numbers; they even threw us one at the fireside that evening! All in all a great end to a fun weekend.

My Baby has a first name...

Posted by StephieMae 3 sweet comments
It's Cassandra's birthday! Holy cheese peeps my lil' baby sis is growed up. She's no longer a teen ;) ha ha anyways I don't get to be with her for this wonderful day dedicated to her but that still doesn't mean I can't not dedicate a post to her and her alone.
So peeps BABY IS 20!!! And she is in college and has a boy toy and lives far from home. I guess I kind of saw it coming. Anyways Baby love your butt loads and loads and can't wait to see you-well when I see you. Which should be in a few weeks. MWAH!

p.s. I wrote you a letter.

Dear Cassie,

I totally live in a box. Now I realize that you don't but I'm worried as to what you will do with this new found knowledge. So I'm dyin to know?!

Love, Stephie
ALSO...she shares this special day with an equally as special girl! Lylee Nicole!! Our lovely niece; she couldn't be more adorable if she tried. Serious peeps she is just that cute :D like a princess. Anyways Happy 2nd to her too!!

To pho or not to pho?

Posted by StephieMae 2 sweet comments
So Danny and I have always just enjoyed staying in for the most part when we get together; nothing fancy or anything. But the last lil' bit we've started having things we need to get done out and about so we spend our time running errands with one another. It's been fun getting out of our routine. Anyways long story short tonight we went to an Asian restaurant because Danny swears by this dish called Pho. It was actually really really good but so filling. They serve it in a I wanna say a bowl that holds easily a full liter! Holy smokes peeps SO much food and so little time to eat it. But worth every bite that I did manage to inhale. Can we say YUM? It rocked. You know what else rocked though?? We watched Death Becomes her. Ha ha ha I love this movie and if you haven't seen it I would suggest it because it'll make you laugh your patootie off!

ULTRACLUTCH

Posted by StephieMae 2 sweet comments
So seeing as I spent the majority of my day with my mum we ended up at home watching HAIRSPRAY! Now I adore this movie. I got to see it in Boston with my sweet lil' 12 year old friend Livi. It was so fun to have a girl's night out with her and since then I have just loved everything about it! So to those that have yet to watch it seriously peeps you are missin out. Everything about it is so cheesy and I think that's what makes it so great.
p.s. who else totally loved Queen Latifah's blonde hair?! I love it!

A tribute to a childhood hero

Posted by StephieMae 1 sweet comments
So in honour of Dr. Seuss' Birfday!! Woot woot I want to celebrate. Now seeing as I no longer have my books from my childhood I can't read them :( sad moment in my day but man I loved everything about those books!! They make me smile and in part I think I owe it to those books for the fact I can read so fast! One of my all time faves that I read over and over as a kid was Green Eggs & Ham. Holy cow peeps the amount of times I read that in kindergarten was unfathomable. Ha ha but either way it brings me back to a few years ago I was at Miranda's chillin wit the fam in the Library and we pulled out each and every last book they owned of Dr. Seuss and I read every last one of them :) Jonathan was in heaven and ever since has had a lil' fat kid crush on me and them books. Thank you Dr. Seuss for making my childhood that much more memorable...giving me that lil bit of hope in that great big world that was ahead of me!

And will you succeed? Yes indeed, yes indeed! Ninety-eight and three-quarters percent guaranteed.

Kalends* of March!

Posted by StephieMae 1 sweet comments
It's March!!! So my peeps; do you know what that means?!? That's right! Time to catch a leprechaun! In speaking with my lil' neice BaiBai tonight I talked to her about the upcoming holiday of St Patty's Day. She was like ooh what's it all about? I explained to her that you can catch a leprechaun and get it's pot of gold-but it's tricky to do. And she immediately chimed "I know how to do that Stephie!" So I told her they are tricky to catch and very quick on their feet. So you must think about how you are going to do it. I figure you all know how to go about catching one of these small tricky fellows; but just in case here are some suggestions.

You must not forget that since they are fast you must be creative when trying to lure them in. So build a trap of your liking.

Traps should be green; they really like green. Also anything that sparkles I'm sure they LOVE! (I know I do) ;0 ha and also make sure it blends into the environment. Otherwise it'll be obvious.

Once you have that completed you need bait. Leprechauns are greedy lil' things and so the best thing to use are some gold coins or nuggets.

And remember they leave a trail of green and/or gold dust wherever they go. So keep your eye out. Speaking of eyes...if you do happen to catch a leprachaun don't take your eyes of them for even a second. They will take that opportunity and vanish!
